Dharhas Pothina | Associate Technical Director for Computational Science and Engineering at the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center 

Over the years, Dharhas, has coded in a progression of languages including BASIC, Pascal, C, C++, Fortran, Perl, Matlab and a smattering of Javascript. For the past 10 years, Python has been his primary tool of choice to solve problems in computational modeling, data science and geospatial analysis. His career has encompassed both state and federal government and he has lead multidisciplinary, multiagency teams that use both open and proprietary tools.

Dharhas holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin as well as a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He loves photography, reading, hiking and teaching his daughters to love science.
